Indian wrestler Ronak Dahiya bagged the bronze medal in 110kg in the Greco-Roman Category at the U17 World Wrestling Championship. The prestigious event held in Amman, Jordan became the first ever Indian wrestler to claim a medal in this category. After a disappointing semi-final loss to eventual silver medallist Zoltan Czako of Hungary Dahiya proved his spirit isn’t over. After a heartbreaking loss in the semi-final from Zoltan Czako of Hungary Dahiya fought hard for the bronze medal gig.

Ronak also became the first India to claim a medal from this championship on Tuesday.

This Greo-Roman wrestler from India will come face-to-face with Munaretto Dominic Michael of the United States. Previously, Pardhi has also faced a hard defeat to Tushan Dashdhimirov of Azerbaijan 1-5 in the opening round making the Azerbaijan wrestler secure a spot in the final.
