Tragic events are frightening. But when any unnatural phenomenon combines with tragedy, it becomes terrifying. Scripted Horror stories are good for entertainment. But if one is very keen to not sleep at night then one must watch the following horror movies.

Furie, the film reflects the true horrors faced by Doris Bither, where she protested about being sexually assaulted and tormented by an invisible entity. Novel ‘The Entity‘ based on real life events, forms a basis for the movie. The events take place in the city of Los Angeles, California.
The Exorcism Of Emily Rose (2005)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) scripts the heartachingly tragic events faced by Anneliese Michel. It is undeniably one of the most scary and distressing movies of all time. It all started when 16-year-old Anneliese experienced a grand mal epileptic seizure. Trail of events took a negative turn for Anneliese and never got better. She died on 1st July 1976 due to malnutrition and many internal & external injuries.
The Amityville Horror (2005)
The Amityville Horror (2005) movie depicts the unquestionable paranormal incidents that occurred during 1975 when George and Kathleen Lutz brought a Dutch Colonial house in the 112 Ocean Avenue, situated alongside the suburban neighborhood in Amityville, New York. Andrew Douglas directed the movie and Scott Kosar wrote the script.
The Haunting In Connecticut (2009)
A real-life disaster hits Carmen Snedeker and her family when they move into a new house to save the cost of travelling for their son’s cancer treatment. Directed by Peter Cornwell, the film is inspired from the novel, ‘In a Dark Place: The Story of a True Haunting (1992)’.
