Several fans believe that Drake is going to drop a collab with the late Punjabi artist, Sidhu Moosewala. The Canadian rapper played homage to Moosewala when he wore a shirt at his All Canadian North Stars show last month. Now, fans have proof to believe that a musical collab between the two artists is on the way.
D-Teck, a New York DJ and CEO of Wazzup Media Group, dropped not-so-subtle hints this week. He hinted that Drake is cooking up a track featuring vocals by Wala. Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in India last May. The producer has worked with Common Kings, Akon, and Choclair. He tweeted, “Be Patient! It’s coming,” adding a tractor and owl emoji. “Stop asking me for details”. Moosewala, the son of a farmer, liked the HMT 5911 tractor model while the owl is the symbol of Drake’s label.
In another tweet, he said, “Tupac and 50cent, Biggie and Bob Marley, French Montana and Chinx, Pop Smoke and 50cent and many others collaborated posthumously”. “What make y’all think a [tractor emoji] x [owl emoji] collab is impossible or far-fetched when they were both fans of each other and respected each other a lot ?”
In addition, the producer also retweeted a tweet from a fan who wrote: “It’s happening, Drake is listening to recorded vocals of Sidhu Moosewala. And based on those vocals song will come. People forget drake had a MJ feature on one of his albums a few years back”.
