K-Pop Star Park Bo Ram Passed Away at 30

Another fall of a shooting star in the K-pop industry. Park Bo Ram who is notable for popular singles including “Sorry,” “Pretty Bae” and “Ordinary Love” unexpectedly passed away at the age of 30. On April 12 her agency Xanadu Entertainment released a statement to AllKPop to announce this devastating news. Needless to say, this sudden loss of such a promising talent has put the K-pop industry in the sheet of darkness. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

Park Bo Ram’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet

Bo Ram’s agency Xanadu Entertainment released a statement to the Korean news network AllKPop, noting, “We are here to share sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Park Bo Ram suddenly passed away late at night on April 11. All of the artists and executives at Xanadu Entertainment are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness.”

Moreover, they added that it’s extremely heartbreaking to reveal the news of her passing with”all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram,” the agency continues, “The funeral will be held after consulting with the bereaved’s family. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased so she may rest in peace.”

As for the cause of death, it hasn’t been officially revealed. However, as per the reports obtained by AllKPop, the singer was at a private gathering with two friends when she collapsed suddenly from cardiac arrest. She was immediately moved to hospital but it was too late. She passed away about an hour later. 

Park Bo Ram’s career 

Looking at her career, Park Bo Ram came into the industry after coming in eighth place on Mnet’s competition show Superstar K2. However, her fame became noticeable in 2014 with her debut single, “Beautiful,” which hit No. 2 on Korea’s Circle Digital Chart. A year after her first EP, Celebrity, was released which was followed by her renowned singles “Sorry,” “Pretty Bae” and “Ordinary Love.” Apart from the singles she also collaborated with fellow K-pop stars such as Eric Nam and Park Kyung. This year also marked the release of her few singles “I Hope” and “I Miss You.” Simultaneously, she also had begun working on an unnamed album on the special moment of her 10th anniversary as a recording musician.
