A body has been found in the quest for a Belgian fighter with extreme right perspectives who disappeared in mid-May after taking weapons from an army installation.
Investigators say the body found in a lush region close to the Dutch line is likely that of Jurgen Conings, 46.
Conings, who was on a watch-list for suspected fanatics, had given dangers, including against the master who drove Belgium’s reaction to Covid-19.
Many officials had been conveyed in the month-long manhunt.
The body was found in the Hoge Kempen National Park close to the town of Dilsen-Stockemon on Sunday, and investigators say the underlying perceptions recommend the man had shot himself.
Reports say Conings, a shooting teacher who vanished on 17 May, had left letters saying he “could not, at this point live in a general public where government officials and virologists have removed everything from us”. Last month, his vehicle was discovered, containing four enemies of tank rocket launchers and ammo.
