Saturday, 29th May 2021, was another normal day when people were dying due to the variants of the novel coronavirus. But when the private jet taking off from Smyrna Rutherford County Airport to Palm Beach International Airport crashed, it became another reason for the death of 7 people.
One of these 7 people was the television star, Joe Lara that featured in the Tarzan Television series in the 1990s. The other 6 people who lost their lives in the plane crash were named, Brandon Hannah, Gwen S. Lara, William J. Lara, David L. Martin, Jennifer J. Martin, Jessica Walters, and Jonathan Walters.
All the victims belonged to Brentwood, Tennessee.
Their family members were notified before making their names public. Investigators continued their search for the bodies of those who were died on Sunday. The private jet crashed into Tennessee lake.
Rutherford County Fire Rescue Capt. John Ingle reported on Sunday that the recovery efforts were open-ended at the Percy Priest Lake near Smyrna. Efforts were also focused on examining a half a mile-wide debris field in the lake.
Percy Priest Lake is one famous spot for fishing and boating. The reservoir lake was created by the J. Percy Priest Dam. Smyrna is exactly located about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of Nashville.
The Federal Aviation Administration reaffirmed that ‘the Cessna C501 plane’ had a course journey from nearby Smyrna Rutherford County Airport to Palm Beach International Airport. But it crashed before reaching the other end on Saturday morning. Authorities have not yet released any registration information for the plane though.
The 58-year-old American actor was with his wife and five others when the private jet crashed into a Tennessee lake. The jet was headed to palm beach but it plunged into a lake not too long after takeoff.
The fire and other rescue teams were sent to the scene for inspection and rescue but, after an all-night operation, authorities said that the passengers were dead in the accident. The investigation is ongoing to conclude the real reason behind the crash.
