On January 27, a spokesperson of ABC News announced their exit from the famous show. The statement follows, “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
The hasn’t yet publically said anything on this topic. After their romance scandalous as T.J. filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig. He was married to her since 2010 and even had a nine-year-old daughter Sabine. Fiebig even slammed her husband for his “lack of discretion” over the past few months. Meanwhile, Amy is also married to Melrose Place star Andrew Shue since 2010.
ABC President Kim Godwin explained the reason for putting these two on hiatus from the daytime show. Godwin said, “I understand that the continuing coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here at ABC News, rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being.”
She added, “It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism.”
