The legal drama between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seems to be never-ending. According to the sources E-news, the 47-year-old actress’s company is suing her ex-husband. for 250 million dollars over the French Winery Battle. The Fight Club actor reportedly seized control of their French estate as retaliation over their divorce for which Jolie is suing him.

In 2008, the former couple brought the 1300-acre country estate together and Pitt reportedly “Seized Control” of the property.
Pitt has reportedly seized control of Chateau Miraval and appropriated the company’s assets for his benefit. On September 6 the complaint against the actor was filed. Pitt allegedly ‘wasted’ the Chateau’s assets.
The complaint says, “Appointing himself the rightful owner of Chateau Miraval, his twin objectives were to usurp the value of Jolie’s company, Nouvel, and to obtain sole ownership of Chateau Miraval.” Furthermore, says that “spending millions on vanity projects, including more than $1 million on swimming pool renovations and other funds restoring a recording studio. attempted to turn over 50% of the ownership of Chateau Miraval’s most valuable assets, the Miraval trademarks” to one of his friends for free, taking “millions of dollars of value from Nouvel and putting it in the pockets of Pitt and his friends.”(E-news)
The couple got divorced in 2019
The former couple known by the celebrity couple nickname ‘Brangelina’ parted their ways on September 15, 2016, and officially got divorced in 2019. Since their separation, they have been involved in legal battles. First of all due to the custody of their six children who were eventually handed over to Jolie and now for the property. The lawsuit claims Pitt regulated the winery without discussing it with Jolie. But when Jolie asked to get more information and control over the property he tried to block her and Nouvel from collecting evidence about or organising Chateau Miraval.
In November 2021, Jolie sold Nouvel to an international beverage company as the Bullet Train actor ignored her offer to sell interest in the winery. In February, Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie for selling her interests in their once-shared French winery without his concern. His court documents said, “Jolie pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights. By doing so, Jolie sought to seize profits she had not earned and returns on an investment she did not make. Also through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt.”(E-news)
