Charlie Puth claimed DeGeneres’ Music label “disappeared” on him
On October 8, during an interview with Rolling Stone, The ‘ Light Switch’ singer recalled the moment when he signed with eleveneleven music labels. However, Ellen DeGeneres’ Music label didn’t respond to him after some time. Puth alongside former collaborator Emily Luther signed the label. They reportedly liked Puth and Luther’s 2009 cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You”.
Puth shared his experience in the remarks on Greyson Chance who signed with the label in 2010 but was “completely abandoned” by DeGeneres.
“We both have different experiences, me versus Greyson,But I do agree with him that nobody was really present, certainly after the creation of my first demo EP. I didn’t really hear from anybody after that. Not putting any blame just on one person, but from a collective, all the people that were in that room, they just disappeared.”- the ‘We don’t talk anymore’ singer said to Rolling stone.
Puth later on commented on the claim of Ellen DeGeneres being rude. The 64-year-old is reputedly difficult to work with, many of her staff claimed.
“People describe Ellen as rude, I’ve never experienced that. Maybe she likes me.”- Puth said.
The singer furthermore said about his unreleased song with DeGeneres’ Music label. As per the singer, he “never heard those songs again” and also “don’t know how good they are.”
Prior to this interview, the “Unfriend You” singer Greyson Chance bashed Ellen in a 22 September Rolling Stone interview. He was reportedly ghosted by the comedian.
The singer said-“I’ve never met someone more manipulative, more self-centred and more blatantly opportunistic than her.”
