Dylan Sprouse is looking back at his and his wife Barbara Palvin’s wedding day. The couple tied the knot in Palvin’s native Hungary in July 2023. In a February 5 interview with Tamron Hall Show, he shared the unique way they celebrated their big day. Let’s delve into the entire details of this story.
Dylan Sprouse Revealed How Hungarian weddings are very different from American weddings
The 31-year-old said at the show, “Hungarian weddings are very different from American weddings — and I would lobby, way more fun.”
“They are very game-oriented,” the actor explains. “At some point, the bride gets kidnapped by the groomsmen and I have to perform, like, a series of games to win her back.”
Moreover, recalling one game the actor recalled, “The bridesmaids had to do a dance — and my bride was hidden among them — and the groomsmen had to replicate the dance that the bridesmaid or my bride was doing, And I had to guess which one was my wife by watching my groomsmen.”
When Hall asked to redo the dance he said, “I don’t have the hips for that… It was a lot of butt movement that I’m afraid I’m not endowed with.”
The couple shared their first photo as a married couple from their big day with Vogue shortly after the ceremony. In addition, Palvin even revealed they married at the same church her parents tied the knot.
“There is a Hungarian tradition where you have to wear a red dress after midnight — it’s called menyecske ruha,” the supermodel explained in the interview. “There was no question — I had to wear a Hungarian designer for this one, so I chose Mero. They created the dress of my dreams. It was sexy and sweet but also comfortable — exactly what I wanted.”
Moreover, she said of their wedding, “All the people we love and care for were there, We all cried a little.”
The couple started dating in 2018 and officially announced their engagement in September 2022.
However, it isn’t the first time the former Disney alum gushed about his supermodel wife. Previously in an interview with E-news, he said, “I really like the mornings, in general, Mornings are really great, just because there is like a very calm and collected satisfaction of waking up next to your wife—which is a cool thing to say, by the way, like, ‘my wife,’ and also in a Borat voice, it’s fun too. But when you roll over and you see your beautiful wife and she’s asleep and then you see your dog and you’re in your house and the things that you like, created, it’s very calming and it’s very nice and it makes you want to work harder.”
