Hold your breath Swifties! Ed Sheeran opens up about the rumors of re-recording Taylor Swift’s Reputation album “End Game.” In his recent appearance at the Deep & Shallow Podcast on SiriusXM, talking about Swift’s Eras Tour and her upcoming re-release of 1989, he addressed the rumors regarding the re-release of Swift’s Reputation album. However, they hadn’t hit the studio to record it yet, Sheeran revealed there is high possibility that it could be her next re-release album. Let’s dig into the details.
Ed Sheeran said 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is the next one coming out
Sheeran said when the host asked if he re-recorded this hit track with Swift, “No, I haven’t. No. But 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is the next one coming out. That’s the next one.”
Moreover, Ed who is all set with his The Mathematics Tour, said of aligning her schedules with Swift when the Eras Tour stops in the U.K, “What’s nice about everyone’s show, is everyone’s show is so individual to them, and everyone’s got different shows.”
The 32-year-old said, “I would love to go and see Taylor’s show, but we’re all playing on the same dates every single weekend. I think there’s a chance, next year when she’s in the U.K., then I’ll be free.”
Swift announced the re-release of her hit album 1989 at the final show of her Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last week.
She said to the crowd, “Since I was a teenager I’ve wanted to own my own music and the way to do that was to re-record my albums.”
The Grammy winner continues, “So now, here we are on the last night of the U.S. leg of the Eras Tour, in the eighth month of the year, and the ninth day,”
Moreover, the 33-year-old concluded her speech, “There’s something that I’ve been planning for a really, really, really, ridiculously embarrassingly long time. And I think instead of just like telling you about it, I think I’ll just sort of show you something I’ve been excited to show you.”
Needless to say, Swifties are over the moon right now.
