Newcomer Hannah Dodd who plays the of Francesca Bridgerton aka now Lady Sterling in the much-anticipated season three of the popular Netflix series Bridgerton opened up about her anticipation about the future of her character in a recent interaction with E! News. Moreover, she also shared her reaction to the ending of the story in the season three finale. Although the story of this season focuses on romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), a subplot also depicts the romance of the fifth oldest Bridgerton, Francesca and Lord John Sterling (Victor Alli) whom she marries at the end.
Hannah Dodd said she believes writers are going to do a beautiful job
The actor said, “I’m so excited to see the fans’ reactions. We had the best day on set that day. We’re so lucky to have Victor Alli.”
“I’m sure our writers are going to do a beautiful job at telling whatever story they want to tell, so I don’t know if we’re gonna completely follow what happens in the books,” Dodd continued. “But if that does happen, poor Francesca has got some stuff coming her way. But it’s such a beautiful story, so I’ll be thrilled if I ever get to tell that one.”
The 29-year-old also said of her on-screen husband Victor, “I’m hoping that fans of the show will absolutely fall in love with John. Because he’s gorgeous and lovely and what they have is a very special bond that is slightly different from the ones that we’ve maybe seen with other characters before.”
The Lord and Lady Sterling’s love story is indeed a special one for the show’s fans. Despite their none of heated exchanges and steamy moments fans really enjoyed their subtle and quiet love story.
As Victor told E! News in a previous interview, “My relationship with Fran is such a slow burn, with such peculiar people, We enjoy the silences, which is different from the previous relationships in the Ton.”
He said of his viewers, “I just want them to understand that love and relationships can form in such different ways. Through instant spark, through silent and sort of enjoying the moment together, through slow burn—there’s so many different forms of how love at first sight can play out.”
