Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager, say the 73-year-old heavy metal star will undergo a life-changing treatment next week. During an appearance on the UK chat program The Talk, Sharon remarked, “[Ozzy] has a big procedure on Monday, and I have to be there.”
Sharon said treatment “is going to define the remainder of his life,” and she plans to go back to LA to be with Ozzy for the procedure. A few months ago, Sharon stated that Ozzy had tested positive for COVID-19 when she announced her departure from her new role on the UK chatter to be by his side while recovering from the illness.
Ozzy, who is battling Parkinson’s disease, had surgery in 2019 to repair an old injury he sustained in a 2003 ATV accident and then said he had to undergo a second procedure on his neck; a fall at home in 2019 dislodged metal rods surgically implanted in Ozzy’s body after the accident, resulting in 15 screws being placed in his spine.
It was alleged that Ozzy told Classic Rock magazine earlier this month that he “couldn’t walk these days properly” and that he was getting physical therapy every morning while waiting for the follow-up neck treatment. However, “I’m getting better, but not as much as I’d want to be to go back on the road,” he stated.
According to Sharon, Sharon and Ozzy will commemorate their 40th wedding anniversary on July 1st by celebrating the impending birth of their first child, a girl, who is due any day now. After being questioned about plans to celebrate their ruby anniversary, Sharon answered, “I don’t know yet, it depends on everything, but we’ll see.” Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, is expecting her first child with Slipknot’s Sid Wilson.
He has frequently postponed his “No More Tours 2” last tour because of health concerns and COVID, with current plans calling for him to resume the European leg of the time in early 2023 at the earliest.
