Jane Fonda tanked her well-wishers and wishes them Happy Holidays
On December 15, the Monster-in-Law star shared a health update on her official website. She said, “Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo. I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way.”
The 85-year-old then continues,” I am confident that it played a role in the good news. I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything.”
It’s indeed her best birthday present ever. In September of this year, the actress shared that she is diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It’s rare cancer, as per cancer.org it begins in white blood cells and it affects the lymph system, which is part of the immune system.
On 3rd September, after her diagnosis the actress shared an emotional post on Instagram, “Cancer is a teacher and I’m paying attention to the lessons it holds for me. One thing it’s shown me already is the importance of community. Of growing and deepening one’s community so that we are not alone. And cancer, along with my age—almost 85—definitely teaches the importance of adapting to new realities.”
We hope she will completely recover soon.
