Prime Video’s hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2 is going to hit the screens in the summer of 2023.
Therefore, the Author of the book The Summer I Turned Pretty Jenny Han teases some potential changes in the series.
Jenny teased that though the fan of the book might know what might be coming for Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney), and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), she knows anything’s possible.
Ham exclusively told E! News on Dec 27 at the 20th Annual Annual Asian American Awards,” There’s always gonna be changes here and there, so I guess you’ll just have to wait and see, I’m the one doing the changes, so I guess get mad at me because I’m the one who’s changing it!”
What can happen then? Prime Video announced that a new character named Skye will be on this season. Played by Eighth Grade’s Elsie Fisher, Skye is going to hit the cousins’ beach this season.
Little Known about Skye, it’s also official that The Closer alum Kyra Sedgwick would also be joining this season of the series with a new role.
Season two is set to follow Jenny’s follow up Its Not Summer Without You. This season will be focused on Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah as they cope with the tragic death of Susannah played by Rachel Blanchard in the series.
Moreover, the fate of Susannah can be changed as she is spotted with other actors of the show in one of Han’s TikTok accounts.
The second season is expected to premiere in the 2023 summer before that stream with season one of The Summer I Turned Pretty in Prime video.
