The Queen in the north lost her king. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are getting divorced after 4 years of marriage. The Jonas Brothers member who shares two daughters with the Game Of Thrones star officially filed for divorce on September 5. As per the multiple sources the court documents of the former couple the singer has demanded joint custody of their kids. Let’s dig into the details.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s marriage has irretrievably broken
The court documents revealed about the stars “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
Moreover, it noted that the then-couple was living in their Miami home as well as other residences in the U.S with their two daughters Willa, 3, and a 14-month old baby girl (identified as D.J. in the docs).
The docs also noted, “it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility.” Furthermore, the petition also requested for a “timesharing schedule providing for frequent and continuing contact with both parties” and the “child support obligation of each party.”
Needless to say, the news has shocked everyone as the duo has been spotted together last month in the Jonas Brothers New York concert of their ongoing world tour The Tour.
On top of that, the 28-year-old actress even wished the singer on his 34th birthday by sharing a photo of them wearing matching pyjamas, writing, “Happy birthday handsome.”
The X-Men actress also shared some glimpses of the event on her Instagram as well.
The news first started speculating from Sunday, 2nd September. However, the “Cake by the Ocean” singer was spotted wearing his wedding ring in a photo shared by him on Labor Day.
None of them has publically spoken up about the split.
