Malayalam director Midhun Manuel Thomas is all set to come back with an intriguing web series ‘Anali’. The series will feature Leona Lishoy And Nikhila Vimal as the leads. Thomas who has previously been associated with famous films like ‘Annmariya Kalippilaanu’, and ‘Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu’ will make his OTT debut with this venture.
Moreover, the shooting of the show took off on the special day of International Women’s Day on 8th March, Friday. Midhun shared the great news with fans via his official Instagram handle writing, “ANALI started rolling!”
Needless to say it’s gonna be an exciting turn to his career. Also the fans will also be able to witness his talent on small screens this time.

The writer director who previously gained a lot of recognition for his recent work was ‘Abraham Ozler’, A psychological medical crime thriller film, the film emerged as a blockbuster in the Indian box office and gained immense parise for the audience and critics.
The Times Entertainment gave it 3 stars out of five and saying, “Jayaram starrer Abraham Ozler turned out to be an interesting watch and can undoubtedly be seen as a new phase in the actor’s career. The story revolves around a murder investigation done by Jayaram’s character, Abraham Ozler. The actor gives a grounded performance as the cop who also went through his own personal tragedies and is relentless in his pursuit for a serial killer. Director Midhun Manuel Thomas delivers a thriller that’s a little different and keeps one guessing the how of everything till the end.”
Previously in an Interview with Film Companion Midhun says about the casting process, “Even when I was making Anjaam Pathiraa (2020), I wanted to cast someone who had previously not done a dark subject matter. That aspect itself infuses some freshness into the narrative and that’s why I cast Kunchacko Boban in the lead. Similarly, for Abraham Ozler, I wanted to cast someone who would feel fresh for the part. I liked the character of Ozler who is a senior police officer weighed down by a tragic past. It’s a very complex character and so I needed a seasoned actor but also someone who looks fresh in such a milieu. So we wanted to rope in Jayaram sir.”
Later on, Midhun adds, “Jayaram sir was doubtful whether I really had him in mind for this character. But I told him that he was my Ozler and there was no turning back now. He even called me again to see if I was really convinced. I told him we came looking for the story and since you liked the story, there is nothing else to think about. I also quipped that if he wasn’t doing the film, I might even drop the project altogether. That’s how he finally agreed.”
