During the pandemic, the generation facing the utmost difficulties in adjusting would be the Millennials. “How long would the outgoing, enthusiastic and cheeky party-loving people stay at home for so long?” Is a common question from the other generations. But they don’t have their facts, do they? Because almost half of the millennials are introverted and are happy to stay at home !
The world has, in the past revolved around the ‘Baby Boomers’. The generation that made into the history and is alive. Responsible for all the ethics, discoveries and not to mention all the ‘revolutionary ideas’ and methodologies which are currently shortlisted in school books.
GenZ’s, caught up between two parallels of the same world, are brilliantly managing with this constantly changing generation rules. Respected upon their decisions and life approach in general. They are very much successful in molding themselves.
“The ‘Millennials’, the so-called, over pampered, loved and treated like rulers of the world!” If only this was true!
A lot of factors play an important role with the overall development of any human being. Being constantly compared and criticized upon for the little mistakes. Living under stressful pressure of competition which is increasing day by day as the Gen Z’s are getting married.
- The overall peer pressure to look cool all the time.
- The increasing pollution.
- The decreasing life expectancy.
- The limiting job opportunities.
- The world changing at the speed of light.
- The social media.
- The deteriorating mental health.
- The constant anxiety.
- The new diseases.
- The pandemic, and whatnot!
On top of that there are certain misbeliefs and myths, that rather taunt the millennials. Like:
- Atheism
- Entitlement
- Attention seeking
- Relationships
- Boring
- Involvement in unnecessary and bad things
- Drug addiction
- Smoking
- Promiscuousness
And the list goes on and on. If only the world was a little less judgmental and understanding, beautiful qualities of people would be on display. Also, attitudes, values and qualities change from time to time. Every generation has it’s own goals and involvements. Everyone likes to dream they are better than the rest. But in the end, we are all human beings that are sailing in the same difficult times. If we are not kind to our keen then what is even the point of living?
