During an appearance on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, the Scream famed actress reflected on a moment when a famous co-star screamed at her on set after which she refused to work with him. The 40-year-old said in the podcast, came when she “did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star.” Although she didn’t reveal any details about the co-star in question, as she put it “doesn’t matter who it is.”
“I remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry, because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” the actress said. “I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at. But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me, so no one had my back.”
Moreover, Rebecca revealed she “would cry walking off set,” especially when the “person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What is this?’”
“I stood there just breaking,” the actress. recalled “This happens, but you kind of hope you have a producer, people. I had no one.”
As she arrived she told the person in question screamed at her, “You get off my set.”
“It’s the first time I’ve ever spoken [up]. I remember being so scared. I looked at this person and I said, ‘You can f- off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again,'” Ferguson said. “And then I remember the producers came up and said, ‘You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set.’ I said, ‘But the person can turn around and I can act to the back head.’ And I did.”
She added from that moment she has “never let myself get to a point when I’ve got home and gone, ‘Why did that happen?’”
