Mayur Jumani shared the details of his new single
Born in a middle-cast household Jumani has been wholeheartedly driven towards music from an early age and even started playing piano at only 2 years old. Starting his career as an engineer he believes that the articulate and problem-solving nature of the engineers can be incredibly utilized in his singing profession. The singer who strives to represent his Sindhi culture throughout his music revealed giving his own version of the iconic song is extremely fascinating. Singing in Sindhi for the first he was exceptionally nervous but the positive response of the audience boosted his confidence.
As for the reason he chose to remake this iconic song, Mayur explained, “Aayi Aayi is such a powerful piece that I was immediately drawn to it. When I heard this track, it was such an emotional rollercoaster for me, to see my language and culture being represented in the mainstream. And to come across a song that was made so beautifully, its music, its lyrics, and visually everything was so well done. I wanted to make my version of the track, and do as much justice to the original as I could.”
During the interview, he also addressed his experience of working with talented musician Kailash Kher in the remake of the blockbuster song Tauba Tauba.
Mayur gushed over Kailash, saying, “He’s such a sport and is always up for everything. We wanted to put our own spin on the trend and the song, and I couldn’t think of anyone else but bring the OG Music genius himself for it. Tauba Tauba was such a fun Collaboration we had so much fun making the video!”
