Ryan Gosling Shares His Daughter’s Contributions in Behind-the-Scenes While Filming Barbie

These little Barbies are always there for their  Ken. Ryan Gosling revealed the ways his little daughters contributed behind the scenes while filming the Barbie movie. The actor’s daughters 9-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada whom he shares with actress Eva Mendes were frequent visitors to the Barbie film set. On the April 11 episode of the popular late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he unveiled a lot of facts. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

Ryan Gosling revealed his kids were in the film when he filmed the popular number

Ryan said during an April 11 appearance on the show, “It was their interest in Barbie, and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all this.it’s really been a team effort. And they were on the film and they came to set when I filmed the number.”

As for the number Ryan is referring to the film’s Oscar-nominated, blockbuster song “I’m Just Ken”.

“They knew they know all the choreography better than I do, the songs,” the 43-year-old joked while impersonating his daughters doing the dance a la Dance Moms. “They’re backstage showing me.”

“A lot of this has no context for them, you know? It’s just like a lot of fake tan stains around the house,” Ryan added. “I wanted them to come to the dress rehearsal just to give it some kind of context for what had been going on.”

Despite the daughters not being present at the March 10 event, the actor has a huge pillar of support by his side which is none other than Eva Mendes, his partner of more than 13 years.

The couple hasn’t appeared together since the premiere of their 2012 film The Place Beyond The Pines. However, Mendes revealed she was backstage at the award show.

She shared the backstage video showing herself outside Ryan’s dressing room, captioning the post,”Always by my man.”

Moreover, the Notebook alum’s lady love also shielded him from the harsh criticism he faced for his Academy Award nomination for Barbie

The 50-year-old shared a post, writing, “So proud of my man. So much hate when he took on this role. So many people trying to shame him for doing it. Despite all the #Notmyken ridicule and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, now iconic character and took it all the way to Oscars. So beyond proud to be this Ken’s Barbie.”
