Sarah Ferguson Praise Princess Kate Amid Her Own Cancer Battle

Sarah Ferguson shared her admiration for Princess Kate who has recently announced her cancer diagnosis. Ferguson, who is also battling with skin cancer, praised the Princess of Wales for being vocal about her condition. The Duchess of York conveyed her thoughts via a statement on March 25 via X. Sarah said she is full of admiration for the way Kate has spoken publicly about her diagnosis

The 64-year-old shared a statement on March 25 via X (Formally known as Twitter) about her condition and praised Kate. She started her statement, “All my thoughts and prayers are with the Princess of Wales as she starts her treatment. I know she will be surrounded by the love of her family and everyone is praying for the best outcome.”

Moreover, the writer who was previously married to Queen Elizabeth’s second son Prince Andrew continues, “As someone who has faced their own battles with cancer in recent months, I am full of admiration for the way she has spoken publicly about her diagnosis and know it will do a tremendous amount of good to raise awareness. I hope she will now be given the the time, space and privacy to heal.”

Kate, who is married to Prince William shared the news of her cancer diagnosis via a video on March 22. Although the Princess has been going through “an incredibly tough couple of months” for their entire family her husband and her fantastic medical team is helping her to heal.

As the 42-year-old shared, “I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful, In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.”

“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” the mother of three continued. “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”

After the shocking announcement the Princess has received showers of support and well-wishes from friends and family including her father-in-law King Charles.

King Charles, whose own cancer diagnosis was confirmed in January, is “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did” as a spokesperson of the royal family revealed.
