Tesla may Accept Bitcoins when Miners will switch to Clean Energy

Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) CEO Elon Musk wrote on Sunday that the EV dialer will resume bitcoin transactions when miners check whether transactions use more renewable energy.

“When there’s confirmation of reasonable (~50%) clean energy usage by miners with the positive future trend, Tesla will resume allowing Bitcoin transactions,” Elon Musk Tweeted,

At 6:10 pm GMT on Sunday (2:10 pm Eastern Time), Bitcoin rose 5.1% to US$37,360.63, eventually rising by US$1,817.87. Before, according to Musk’s tweet.

Musk also said that Tesla sold about 10% of its assets to confirm that Bitcoin can be easily liquidated without affecting the market.

In May of this year, the company announced that Tesla will no longer accept Bitcoin for car purchases, citing long-standing environmental concerns caused by the company’s rapid change in its stance on cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has fallen by more than 10 on Twitter.

The future of cryptocurrency is bright, but it cannot be at the expense of the environment. Tesla announced in February that it had purchased $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin and would accept it as payment for cars. continue reading  ..
