The second season of the Korean drama Squid Game, a dystopian series that captivated audiences all over the globe, has finally here. The South Korean sitcom had broken records for the amount of streams it received on Netflix, won a number of prestigious prizes, and achieved worldwide celebrity. Netflix stated in response to a remark that was posted by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who is the writer, director, producer, and creator of Squid Game: “Green light at the end of the red light! It is now confirmed that Squid Game will return for its second season.”
In the same thread, Netflix shared with fans the director’s note for Squid Game, which included information about the upcoming second season. He also thanked viewers from all across the globe for watching their program and expressing their enthusiasm for it by giving a worldwide shout-out.
The filmmaker revealed some information about Season 2 in a memo that he sent, including the fact that Gi-hun and The Front Man will be back. In addition to this, he said that the guy who was wearing the suit with ddakji may also make a comeback, and that Young-lover hee’s would be shown. The memo included the words, “The first season of Squid Game premiered last year after being in development for a total of 12 years. However, it took just a week and a half for Squid Game to become the most popular series that Netflix has ever offered. As the author, director, and producer of Squid Game, I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the fans located all over the globe. We are grateful that you like viewing our program and for your support.”
In addition to this, he added, “And now we welcome back Gi-hun. The Front Man makes his comeback. The second season will soon begin. It’s possible that the suited guy who had ddakji may appear again. You will also meet Young-boyfriend, hee’s Cheoul-su, who will be presented to you. Come back and take part in a whole new game round with us.”
