The Kansas City Chiefs tight end during his recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ With the Boys podcast along with NFL players like Will Compton and Taylor Lewan opened up about her public relationship with Taylor Swift. The 34-year-old football icon said in the podcast, “It’s like, you want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything … that’s my girl, that’s my lady, I’m proud of that.” Kelce also acknowledged the intense media scrutiny surrounding Swift and her always “getting a headline.”
Moreover, he also admitted “It’s been cool,” highlighting that Swift’s followers are “a different demographic than the NFL.”
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar also recalled a pivotal moment that deepened his feelings for the “Fortnight” singer. Acknowledging her self-awareness and ability to navigate high-pressure situations recounting the singer’s presence at Las Vegas during the Chiefs’ victory in Super Bowl LVIII.
“I think that’s why I really started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends (and) family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she just keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure,” Kelce shared.
