It has been claimed that the renowned actor Johnny Depp was presented with a mammoth offer of Rs 2,355 crore ($301 million) to reprise his role as the legendary character Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise as well as a television series.
A source in the business claims that the corporation is putting the finishing touches on a contract that would pay the actor $301 million as an official apology and a plea for him to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow.
As one insider has revealed, the Mouse House firm is reportedly working on putting up a transaction.
“Disney is interested in making amends with Johnny Depp to improve their relationship.” Before the actor’s defamation trial against Amber Heard, they attempted to get in touch with him. They inquired as to whether or not he would be interested in appearing in other pirate movies.
I know the company gave him a gift basket and a personal message, but I’m not sure how he responded to the gesture. “However, I can tell you that the studio has already written up a screenplay for a picture on Jack Sparrow, so they are quite optimistic that Johnny would forgive them and return as his legendary character,” the insider added.
According to the source, the corporation is prepared to go over and above and provide USD$301 million, which is more than the sum Heard’s lawyer indicated that Depp would decline to accept.
During the defamation trial, Heard’s attorney, Bredehoft, posed the following question to Disney: “Is Disney aware that Mr. Depp has sworn that he would not take another ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise role? For $300 million and a million alpacas?” Mr. Depp has testified that he would not take another role in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise even if he were offered
They are putting the finishing touches on a transaction expected to be worth US$301 million and will include a sizeable gift to a charity of Depp’s choosing. According to reports, the agreement calls for Johnny Depp to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a spin-off series for Disney Plus that would focus on the early years of the Captain of The Black Pearl.
