Rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh is currently the talk of the town as Netflix dropped the trailer of the documentary Yo Yo Honey Singh Famous which is based on his life story. As per the glips of the trailer we can see that it was taking a quite controversial turn since the rapper’s darkest moments were likely to be seen. The Punjabi artist who has seen immense fame in his career as well as total destruction. As the trailer mounted the fans’ excitement the rapper revealed in an on Netflix event in Mumbai on Thursday that everything that will be shown in the documentary is pure truth. 

Yo Yo Honey Singh said he wanted a camera and mic to share my side of the story

Singh shared in the event, “Whatever work I have done for 12 to 13 years, people have made a perception about it. There are controversies that happened, my effigies were burnt, but I’ve never said anything. I wanted a camera and mic to share my side of the story.”

Undoubtedly the rapper’s life was quite a show as he was dragged into multiple controversies. Starting from his battling alcoholism and substance abuse to his former wife Shalini Talwar’s domestic violence accusation. However, finally he had come out share his side of the story.

Later on, he thanked Netflix for giving his story a platform, “Three-and-half years ago Netflix said they wanted to make a documentary on me and that Guneet Monga wanted to make it. I thought there’s nothing like it! I have known Guneet for 12-13 years, and I like her work and passion. Then I spoke to director Mozez Singh. He spoke about faith, and I instantly felt like I can trust him, and he has made a great documentary. You all may know Yo Yo Honey Singh, but through this documentary film, you will know who is Hirdesh Singh (the singer’s official name).”

Yo Yo Honey Singh Famous is most likely to start streaming from this year.
