Zendaya shares rare insights about her relationship with Spiderman co-star Tom Holland. In an interview for ELLE’s September cover story, the Dune alum who has been dating the actor since 2021 revealed the reason for being a private person. Although the couple hasn’t publicly accepted their relationship, they spotted kissing months after the romance rumours started. Needless to say, action speaks louder than words.
Zendaya said she wanted to protect the peace of her relationship
The Challengers actress told the outlet, “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
Later on, the 26-year-old addressed an incident when she was facing a card issue at a shipping counter during a trip when the people started taking pictures of that moment. “I was just like, Why? You see I’m flustered,”she said of the incidents.
Moreover, she recalled an incident in Italy when she was on a walk with her dog.
The Emmy winner hilariously revealed,”I had this idea of, like, I can walk around Venice. No, I can’t. I had to pick up his poo, and I was like, ‘Lord, please, don’t take a picture of me picking up my dog’s s**t.’ There’s a picture of me holding the bag, but thankfully they spared the grabbing and the putting it in the bag part.”
Previously, in an appearance at the Wondery podcast Smartless, Holland also shared the secret of his and the actress’s happy relationship.
“I’m lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life,” the actor said. “It’s interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you.”
He added, “And that’s worth its weight in gold.”
