Panchayat 3 trailer: Check Out Phulera amid political rivalry, Jitendra Kumar returns as ‘sachiv’

Panchayat is back with its third season. Fans of Prime Video’s most anticipated series are finally released. The makers unveiled the Season 3’s trailer on Wednesday making the long wait of fans finally over. The story revolves around the fictional village Phulera in Uttar Pradesh which stars Neena Gupta, Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik in lead roles. Since the last season’s cliffhanging ending ‘Sachiv ji’ aka Abhishek Tripathi’s (Jitendra Kumar) life in Phulera seems to be in danger after Pradhan-Pati’s (Raghubir Yadav) altercation with a local politician. Panchayat Season 3 will release on May 28

The trailer shows Abhishek Tripathi declaring that he isn’t going anywhere. He says in the trailer, “Achha bhala resign kar chuka tha, vapas aa gaya iss gaon mein (I resigned from this job for the good, but I came back to this village).”

As Abhishek tries to cope up with his studies and his newfound love interest in Rinki, the daughter of Pradhan-Pati. Meanwhile, politics takes a new turn on Phulera as Bhushan (Durgesh Kumar) tries to overthrow Pradhan Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) with the help of the disgruntled local politician. This situation enhances the rivalry between Bhushan and Pradhan-Pati which lead to a comical conflict and immense entertainment for the viewers.

The show has been gaining a lot of praise from the audience for its unique and entertaining plotline. Showing the village life through the perspective of an engineering graduate who takes up the role of a panchayat secretary due to limited job prospects. The show’s first season debuted on Prime Video in April 2020 during the COVID lockdown becoming a fan favourite overnight. Later on the second season also gained immense fame and love from both the critics and audience.

The second season of TVF’s Panchayat also won the Best Web Series (OTT) Award which is a newly introduced category at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), where the series also became the first to win the award.

Previously In an interview with Indian Times, Jitendra Kumar who is the protagonist of the series shared his views on the much anticipated series.

He told the outlet, “There’s going to be a lot of excitement in Phulera. The characters’ journeys have evolved significantly, promising plenty of twists and turns in Abhishek’s life.”

For now the fans have to wait till May 28 to finally watch it on screen.
