Previously famous fashion brand Gap and Balenciaga also ended their relationship with West because of his controversial statement. The statement of Adidas
On October 25, after almost three weeks reviewing Ye’s contract Adidas announced the statement. The statement follows,”Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
The brand continues,”After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately. end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”
Moreover,On October 24, MRC studio executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley announced in a memo the contemporary documentary based on Ye’s life become shelved. “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform”- they said.
