Blake Lively shared the reason for shutting down her lifestyle website Preserve. The actress is currently expecting her fourth child with her husband Ryan Reynolds. In an interview with Entrepreneur, the actress talked about it. Back in 2015, the Gossip Girl alum launched her lifestyle website Preserve. However, it turned into a disaster.
Blake Lively said Website’s End As “Awful”
Talking with the Entrepreneur the 33-year-old said, “never caught up to its original mission,” which is the reason for its early end. She added, “behind-the-scenes stuff that we just couldn’t figure out.” The mother of the three added, “I poured everything I had into that company”. That’s why walking away from it “felt like a death.”
The Age Of Adaline alum eventually launched Betty Buzz which is a line of non-alcoholic, sparkling mixers. She named it after her 3-year-old daughter Betty. She shared the new business was built using “lessons I learned from [Preserve]. So many mistakes that I made.”
The actress also revealed she always takes her husband Ryan Reynolds advice and trust him the most. She said,”The person whose opinion I trust more than anything in the world is also the person who’s saying to me, ‘You got this. Go.And that’s a great feeling.”
Talking about the venture Lively added, “It’s an interesting thing to claim as a woman: being detailed and being precise. Because that can be weaponized against you as being difficult. And if someone makes you feel something often enough, you start to believe it’s true, and you start to squash those things in yourself, and you start to see them as something that you don’t want to bring to the surface.”
she continues, “And it’s taken me 35 years to see that, like, that’s actually a huge asset: how detailed I am and how precise I am and how much I care about quality. And it’s not something that I should apologize for.”
We hope her new venture would be a massive success.
