Gigi Hadid has been a true supporter of her sister Bella Hadid. Last month a source confirmed that Bella is recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and is in regular treatment. On August 1st Gigi took her Instagram story to show her support for her little sister. The supermodel shared a throwback photo of Bella and revealed she can’t wait for her comeback. Gigi wrote Bella just finished a long and intense treatment for Lyme disease
The 28-year-old wrote in her Instagram story while sharing a throwback photo with her younger sister backstage at a fashion show, “Can’t wait 4 the comebaccckkkkkk.”
Moreover, she addressed Bella’s lyme disease treatment. As she wrote, “Just wanna touch on this post from last week. Bella just finished a long and intense treatment for Lyme disease. Didn’t want some to take my post as a promise she’ll be back for shows this next season.”
Also, the mother of one said of the 26-year-old, “I’m so proud of her and excited for her comeback whenever she feels ready.”
As per the reports, in 2012 Bella and her and Gogi’s younger brother model Anwar Hadid, 24, were diagnosed with the disease. Its symptoms are fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash.
Last month, a source revealed that the model is taking a break to take daily treatment for her disease.
“Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped,” the source revealed. “She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem. Bella is not in rehab.”
Meanwhile, another source said of the model who recently split from boyfriend Marc Kalman, “Bella is taking some much-deserved time off to treat her Lyme disease. She is not in rehab and has never had an alcohol or drug problem.”
Afterward, the model also shared her milestone of being 10 months sober.
