Rocker Bob Geldof looking back at the final conversation she had with his friend Sinéad O’Connor. The actress who was found dead at 56 in her London home left the world shattered. At that time her family shared to RTE, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad.” Her family and friends are devastated and have requested “privacy at this very difficult time.” As per the reports of The Independent, the Boomtown Rats frontman told the crowd on the stage at the Cavan Calling musical festival in Ireland that he spoke to the singer a couple of weeks ago. Let’s find out what the frontman has said about his devastating loss to the crowd.
Rocker Bob said he talked with Sinéad a couple of weeks ago
Bob told the crowd of the film festival, “Some of the texts were laden with desperation and despair and sorrow and some were ecstatically happy. And she was like that.”
Later on Geldof dedicated his performance to “a very good friend of mine.”
On July 26, O’Connor passed away in her London home at the age of 56. Her family denied any chances of four plays and shared that her death was natural. As per the statement of UK police the “Nothing Compares 2 U” was found “unresponsive” and the police “pronounced her dead at the scene.”
Last year the GRAMMY-winning singer faced an immense tragedy after she lost her 17-year-old son to suicide.
After her death, the singer has been honored by many celebrities and artists in the industry including Russell Crowe and U2. However, singer Morrissey criticized the tributes and called it “hypocritical,” as the late singer was not supported by anyone while she was alive.
We hope she will rest in peace.
