Josh Duhamel and his wife Audra Mari welcomed their first child together. On January 11 the couple became the proud parents of a baby boy. Days after this joyous revelations the couple now officially introduced their son to the world. In an Instagram post on Jan. 16, the former pageant queen and the Transformers disclosed the name of their newborn. Keep reading to learn more about the story.
Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari name their son Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel
In the Jan. 16 post, the couple shared the photo of the infant’s feet with the caption “Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel” along with his birthday “1/11/24.”
The newborn also has a big brother Axl by his side, Josh’s 10-year-old son whom he shares with ex-wife Fergie.
In a September interview with Parade the Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! the alum said, “He’s like, ‘Wait, now, am I going to be—You’re still going to love me, though, too, right? I was like, ‘Of course I’m going to still going to love you.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m still going to be your firstborn son, though, right?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, you’re still the firstborn son!’”
Moreover, the 50-year-old continues how his elder son “loves babies.”
“And he’s really good with younger kids,” he continued. “So I think he’s going to be a great older brother.”
Previously, Fergie also showed her support to the couple when they announced their pregnancy on Sept. 11. Josh posted a photo of a black-and-white sonogram of their baby with the caption, “Baby Duhamel coming soon.” Audra also reposted the picture in her Instagram story writing, “I cannot wait to be a mama. Hi daddy @joshduhamel.” Afterwards, Fergie wrote under her ex’s comment section, “I am truly happy for you guys. Axl can’t wait to be a big brother.”
Josh and Fergie parted ways in 2017. At that time they said in a joint statement, “With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
Despite having differences in their marriage they won’t let it affect their son since after the divorce they showed an amicable partnership.
On the other hand, he seems to going strong with his now wife since in a previous interview with E-news he said of his wife, “I knew that she was the one early on. We’re perfect for each other. She’s an amazing girl. She keeps me grounded. She keeps it real. We’re from the same home state and love lake life. We spend a lot of time on the lake together.”
