MX Player’s series Missing Chapter fame actor Ajay Rajpal looked back at his Bollywood journey. Ajay Rajpal said OTT create the rise of opportunities for actors
Addressing the opportunities OTT has created for actor, Ajay said, “With the rise of the OTT platforms, there comes the rise of opportunities for both aspiring actors and actors who were struggling to get work.Aspiring actors have now realized that with the OTT platforms they get to showcase true potential with the benefit of getting a variety of characters within OTT channels.”
He added,”Actors who were struggling to get into Bollywood are now grabbing opportunities with the digital platforms where they get to show their talent on the mightiest of the meatiest character that they are offered.”
Moreover, he also talked about the fame he gained after the success of Missing Chapter. “Well, it’s a proven fact that once you get visual recognition on the platform that is being viewed by the masses, the time changes for you. Similarly things have massively started to change for me. I tend to see a large number of interactions within and outside the entertainment industry that are reaping fruits for me. You are being called upon to the events to either judge or as celebrity guests.”
As for the best compliment you got after the web series ‘Missing Chapter’, he said it is “That no one else could have done justice to the character of a fearless cop played by you on the entire casting of ‘Missing Chapter.”
Rajpal’s rising success has also increased his opportunities in different projects. Talking about his work in front, he noted, “Lately, I have been auditioned for three different characters for three different Ott channels, other than this have also grabbed a Bollywood project ‘Shaadi Toh Hokar Rahegi’ the shoot for which is going to commence in September. Further, I also have a Punjabi music video with a renowned singer in the pipeline.”
