Queen Camilla Opens up about husband King Charles III’s cancer battle. On March 21 the queen consort visited Belfast, Northern Ireland where she shared an insight about the King’s treatment. Although Charles didn’t join his wife here he did resume his several royal duties at home since Buckingham Palace announced Feb. 5 that he had been diagnosed with cancer. The statement reads, “he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties,” and he “will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

Queen Camilla said Charles is doing very well

The 76-year-old queen consort said to the reporters as per the sources of Hello! “He’s doing very well, He was very disappointed he couldn’t come.”

Later on, after hearing a witty remark about men “not being the best patients,” she added, “I try to keep him in order.”

However, the king was absent from the event although he has undertaken several royal duties at home since Buckingham Palace announced Feb. 5 about his cancer diagnosis. At that time the place shared a statement reading,  “he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties,” he “will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

The monarch’s occasional public engagements such as  his meeting with Korean War veterans at the Palace March 19 came after he shut down the rumors about his death.

Moreover, Charles also acknowledged his well-wishers for their beautiful message and wishes regarding his recovery.

Writing in a personal statement the King noted, “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”

Later, in honor of Commonwealth Day on March 11, he addressed his battle during the speech.

“Having recently celebrated my own 75th birthday, it warms my heart to reflect on the way the Commonwealth has been a constant throughout my own life—a precious source of strength, inspiration, and pride,” he said. “In recent weeks, I have been most deeply touched by your wonderfully kind and thoughtful good wishes for my health, and, in return, can only continue to serve you, to the best of my ability, throughout the Commonwealth.”

Meanwhile, Charles isn’t the only one in the royal family who is going through a physical torment, his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton also is in recovery after undergoing an abdominal surgery. The Princess of Wales also has been in a hiatus from her royal duties.
