Raashii Khanna talked about her chemistry with Yodha co-star Sidharth Malhotra. Eleven years after her first film Madras Café where she played the role of a negotiation in-charge officer, Khanna finally returns to Bollywood with Yodha. Although her first film was a box-office debacle, fans are really into her and Sidharth Malhotra’s who played her husband in the film, chemistry in this much anticipated film. Despite their heating the behind the scenes scenario is exactly the difference. The Farzi actress who sat down for an interview with News18 Showsha opened up about the behind the scenes reality of this movie. Let’s check out what she had revealed.

Raashii Khanna said she and Sidharth Malhotra aren’t great friends

The 33-year-old said at the interview,  “I’m an introverted person just like him. We aren’t great friends. It’s not like we’re buddies or we talk all the time.”

However, it doesn’t mean that they are not on good terms as she noted, “We share a good and respectful co-star relationship. During shoot, we would keep to ourselves. There wasn’t really any ice to break. When I met him, I thought he was my type. He also felt like I was his type since we’re both introverts. And so, we never tried to encroach each other’s spaces.”

She continues,“We understand the craft. We know what’s required of us as actors every time a love song comes our way. I knew that we look good onscreen but I couldn’t have imagined that we would get such an amazing response from the audience. They loved us together. It’s great that it worked.”

Moreover, since they both belong to the same hometown Delhi it helped them connect,“We also share the Delhi connection. But the only thing ‘Delhi’ about us is our accent (laughs). He asked me, ‘Tu Dilli se hai?’ After that, we had some conversations about the same city. He also reads and so, I had some conversations on books with him and about films in general.”

Therefore, the actress also addressed if she is missing doing action scenes, “I’m sure I’ll do an action film eventually. But they needed me in that role and the audience also thought that the character suited me very well. The casting team did a fabulous job and played to our strengths. Disha has this really amazing combat scene with Sid in the film. Action is their strength.”
