Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar ‘has hit the screens. This much-awaited series starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, Prerna Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari is also marked as the OTT debut of the multiple times national winner Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film will start streaming on Netflix on May 1. The release date was announced at a drone light show event held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in South Mumbai. The event was attended by the star cast and the CEO of Bhansali Productions Prerna Singh, and Tanya Bami, Director of Series, Netflix India. Let’s check out the complete details of this story.

The event which was attended by the starcast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, Prerna Singh and Director of Series, Netflix India Tanya Bami and CEO of Bhansali Productions Prerna Singh was talked about this special project.
Singh noted, “ We didn’t want to come out of his world, it was dreamy, stunning, and it was that captivating. For us as actors, it was an experience which we never had before. The takeaway from working with him was that no matter how good you think you are he will always get something better out of you.”
Meanwhile, actress Richa Chadha who has previously worked with the director in his 2013 film ‘Goliyon Ki Rassleea Ram Leela’ praised him for having perfection in detailing.
“Nothing can be done half-heartedly (when you are working with Bhansali). You have to put your heart and soul into everything, whether it’s dialogue delivery, acting, dancing, music, everything. He even keeps an eye on every extra standing behind. It is just beautiful to work with him. We all became better actors (after working on this show)” she said.
Moreover, Koira who worked with Bhansali on his 1996 directorial debut ‘Khamoshi: The Musical added,”I think. his work ethic is unmatched.”
The Epic saga will narrate the stories of the courtesans of the dazzling streets of Heeramandi the background is set around tumultuous period of 1940s during the freedom struggle of India.
Needless to say, this series will be as grand as the director’s other projects.
