The couple started dating in 2011 and welcomed their first daughter Esmerelda in 2014 and Amada 2016.
“I dreamed of one day making movies and now movies have made my life a dream. So the way I see it, there’s no way I’ve contributed half as much to cinema as cinema has contributed to me, but the idea that I might have given something back to the thing that’s given so much to me is too great an honor for me to express,” the actor added.
Prior to the ceremony the actor stole the show in his last night appearance at the Critics Choice Awards where his confusing reaction to his song from Barbie, “I’m Just Ken,” winning Best Song beating Barbie’s other songs “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish, as well as Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night.”
Gosling also previously opened up about the influence of his daughters in playing this iconic role. “They’ve seen a lot pieces of [the film], and helped me a lot with it,” Ryan said to Entertainment Tonight at the film’s premiere in July. “They were huge inspiration for me.”
Later on, as the interviewer asked him if this role was hilarious to his daughters, he joked, “Yeah, unless it wasn’t. And then I worked on it.”
“Well, it was, I think, weird enough for them that I played Ken anyway,” he said. “I might like, you know, just hold off on them seeing the full Ken energy.”
However, it isn’t the first time Barbie got such a big honor as it previously earned multiple at the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice itself.
