Usher finally revealed the reason for Justin Bieber’s turning down his invitation for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. During February. 16 appearances on The Breakfast Club, the “Yeah!” The singer said he didn’t have any hard feelings for the “Peaches” singer. The pair has collaborated on famous songs like 2010’s “Somebody to Love.” Although he didn’t attend the event he did congratulate his friends on this biggest achievement. Usher said that Justin is just wanting to tell a different story right now
The 45-year-old said, “I think that it might’ve been the fact that he’s just wanting to tell a different story right now, and I understand that.”
The pair only had a “brief conversation” about the possibility. Moreover, he said they did make plans to reconnect again in future.
“We’re gonna do something else in the future,” the singer continued. “No love lost or anything like that.”
However, Justin did show his support by attending the Feb. 11 sporting event. On top of that, it isn’t only the “Baby” who rejected Usher’s invitation to join him on the Allegiant Stadium stage.
“It’s a lot of pressure to do the Super Bowl, so I reached out to everybody,” the singer said. “Justin wasn’t the only person that I actually spoke to about doing the Super Bowl, but the moment was maybe for later.”
The “My Boo” singer later on predicted, “He’s gonna play the Super Bowl, I’ll go ahead and give you that in the future. I profess that over his life. Because he has a career that deserves it.”
Usher rocked the stage at the 2024 Super Bowl’s stage with his famous hits like “My Boo”, “Yeah!”,” Love in This Club” and “OMG.”
On February 12, the singer wrote in a February 12 Instagram post acknowledging the special guest, “Thank U for being apart of this once in a lifetime moment.”
Meanwhile, Bieber didn’t hesitate to congratulate his friends on his achievement on Instagram. “LOVE YOU MY BROTHER,” he wrote on social media . “NOONE CAN SING AND DANCE THE WAY YOU DO. LOVE YOU FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY HEART.”
