A new member is all set to join the Richie-Grainge family. On January 25, Sofia Richie announced the news of expecting her first child with husband Elliot Grainge to Vogue. Moreover, Richie also unveiled the gender of her baby. Sofia Richie is expecting a baby girl
The model told the outlet, “I’ve learned more in the past six months than I have in my entire life, And also just like what the female body is capable of. Every week brings new things, whether it’s hormonal shifts or expansion—there’s just so much our bodies go through, and it’s so interesting to experience it all.”
Moreover, the 25-year-old revealed to expecting a daughter as she noted, “She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air.”
Needless to say, it’s an extremely special moment for her as her father Lionel Richie and sister Nicole Richie also shared their excitement on becoming a grandpa and aunt respectively.
He shared Sofia’s Vogue photo shoot on his Instagram Stories, adding, “My little girl is having a baby.”

The news comes nine months after her grand wedding in the South of France, with her dad and sister Nicole Richie by her side.
Sofia said of her marriage at that time, “Being married is the best. I’m obsessed with Elliot. When we’re together, it’s just calm and quiet.”
At that time, her father Lionel is also revealed how he found his son-in-law Elliot.
“I’ve known Elliot, her now-husband, since he was 9 years old if you can believe that,” he said of the 30-year-old. “So, I vetted the kid. I know who he is. I know his people. They’re happy, and they’re in love. And if you wish for anything for your kid, you want someone to love your kid as much as I love my kid. And he loves my kid. So, I’m very happy.”
